Injasuti Developments

The proposed solar farm is located near the intersection of Fruit Ridge Line and Centennial Road, approximately 4 km southwest of St. Thomas.  Currently the solar farm is proposed to include up to 62 ground mounted tracking solar arrays.  Each solar array has a capacity of 8kW with each solar farm having a total maximum nameplate capacity of 500kW.  Each solar array is approximately 11.8 by 5 meters (39 by 20 feet) with a maximum height of 6 meters (20 feet).  More information on the proposed solar farms is provided in the meeting notices, draft Project Description Reports and other materials provided as PDFs below. In order to develop the solar farms require a contract under the Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) program and a Renewable Energy Approval (REA).  The solar farm proponent (Injasuti Developments) is responsible for completing the REA process based on the Province's regulations.   The proposed solar farm is subject to the requirements of a Class 3 Solar Facility.  This website supports the REA process by posting details on upcoming public meetings and making additional information on the proposed solar farm available to the public.
